Crazy busy with school y’all! Ugh..took my first final today and needless to say I’ll be at Barnes and Noble with my coffee all weekend..maybe. And might fit in Atlanta and shopping somewhere in there ;) also big congrats to my second mom, Debbie Lord getting married this weekend! Got this totally amazing 60’s one shoulder dress. Stunning. Anyway let me tell you a little story of a recent encounter. Someone bluntly asked why do you dress the way you do..he asked is it for boys..no I answered. He asked then is it for girls..and again I answered no. I responded I dress for fashion and he immediately said oh you must be vain then. The conclusion that fashion is vain simply seems ridiculous to me. Yes people in fashion like to look nice but vain seems terribly condescending. You would be quite surprised at the vast amount of money people in fashion fundraise. He again explained that a person who dresses for fashion dresses for themselves. WRONG. I furthermore went into detail as to why I dress the way I do. I dress because I love putting outfits together. Each piece of glorious fabric, each deep color and vivid pattern..it’s like putting a J.W. Waterhouse painting together. Adding each piece like a puzzle, creating an amazing masterpiece. Yes, some people may not like it, but does everyone like spinach? Just because someone doesn’t shouldn’t mean that you take it away all together. You share it with the people that do and I love to share my outfits with the world. Not because I’m trying to impress a certain sex but because I believe if you find something you’re passionate about you should share it with someone.
Wow I feel like I’ve been so busy lately! I’m def ready for thanksgiving break!!
Schools Cruel
So maybe taking all AP and Honors classes wasn’t the best idea..but hey if it gets me into Columbia University (complete dream since like 7th grade!) then I suppose it’s worth it. Currently reading my ENTIRE ap world history book for this major test tomorrow and praying my 7-hour energy shot, ginko pill, and acai berry juice do what they’re supposed to! I also just love how teachers get together and decide it’s perfect to have their tests all on the same day. Anyway, def feeling the forbidden Juicy sweatsuit with uggs tomorrow. I can’t help it..just so comfortable B) even if it is a total fashion faux ha. Whatevs, wish my luck lovers.

Fall Fashion!!!
So just left my Nordstrom Fashion Board meeting :) so wonderful! Everyone dressed up as their favorite celeb to celebrate Halloween. Some awesome ones included Rachel Zoe, Karlie Kloss, and Whitley Port. Super fun. Also talked with the head stylist for the Nordstrom in Atlanta which was very interesting and really helped me with ideas of creating my own business in fashion. (LKG Exclusive). Top trends you NEED for fall: lots of reds especially dark and cherry. Mustard/tan colors. Capes! Long skirts. Chunky sweaters and sweater dresses. Menswear trends. And fall colored pant. Don’t be afraid to try new fashions! You’d be surprised how many compliments you get :)
